I have persued many mapping projects over time, and after a large break from mapping, I've reemerged to make some Gmod maps for the various gamemodes GMod offers.
This page is a "hub" for these maps.
Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff: THE MAOP
This project was something I made for Half Life 2: Deathmatch. It did not gain any ground, as I could not advertise it well. There was, and still is, no workshop for HL2DM. I picked it up again for Gmod, and converted it into various gamemode formats.
It is based on the webcomic, Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff, a spinoff of the popular Homestuck webcomic.
At time of writing, the maop is very popular, with little to no criticism whatsoever.
This project is a university project, in which I was to create a segment of a fictional town. We made the location of "Growley", a quaint village with very dark themes, undertones and characters. I was working on Growley's theme park, Growlerland. It is a tense atmospheric map. I'm hoping to find time to complete the entire park in future.
The much-anticipated follow-up to my first maop is on my list of things to do. I believe just the name itself is enough of a testiment to how horrible, yet well designed, it will be when completed.
It is, again, based on the webcomic, Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff, a spinoff of the popular Homestuck webcomic.
The plan is to make a much more central-focused maop, as opposed to the room-based design I had with the first maop. It will look as hacked-together as the previous maop.
Here is a teaser trailer I've recently released for it:
